Chabé Sweet-Heat Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 2lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt & pepper

For the sauce:

  • 2 Tbsp Chabé Sambal Chili Sauce (add more if you like your food spicy!)
  • 3 Tbsp ABC Sweet Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 lemon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF .
  2. In a large bowl, mix together turkey, breadcrumbs, eggs, green onions, garlic powder and salt/pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape mixture into 1½-inch balls  and place spaced apart on prepared baking sheets lightly oiled.
  4. Bake meatballs for 20 to 25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, mixing often.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes (the sauce will start to thicken).
  7. Toss with the meatballs with the sauce to coat evenly.
  8. Serve over rice and top with green onions (optional).
